HI OOMF NO PROBLEM ^.^ !! i’m okay today thank you, how are you? as for your question, i dont think blackwashing is a thing !! i dont think it harms anyone to create representation for poc who dont have it in the media they consume !! especially when it comes to things like hoyo games that are notoriously lacking in representation due to the company being horribly racist, it’s super important for poc to feel like they can see themselves in their favourite characters, especially when a lot of those characters are supposed to be based on different groups of real people ^.^

I was the anon who asked about koreaboos ... gulp ... I‘m not Korean personally, i‘m part Japanese & Chinese but i’ve always found koreaboos and Japan glazers so strange, and how media portrays east Asians in general is strange, because some people only ever acknowledge (south) Korea, Japan, China (and occasionally India) as Asian countries ... But only South Korea and Japan are good because they’re so cute n kawaii and their women r so hot but china, india and their ppl should die because they're gross LMFAO. It's so fucking weird dude 🥹

RIGHT i entirely agree. people fetishise japan and south korea a TON and then they’re completely disgusting about china and india and they don’t even acknowledge any other east and south asian countries at all. some of my korean ancestry has roots in nepal (i don’t consider myself nepalese at all however because i have no connection to the culture due to it being many many generations ago) but i can guarantee that most people who want to be asian so bad don’t even know where that is 😭 and as for how the media portrays east asians it’s absolutely insane. i think white people need to leave east asians alone for good actually

i can’t stand them 😭 it genuinely makes my skin crawl seeing people fetishise my culture. it’s so weird to me to see how east asian cultures are treated especially in online spaces but even irl too :/ those people will never understand what it’s like to experience racism for being korean and it’s so weird to me that they want to be something they’re not so bad !! i’m proud of my culture but it has impacted a lot of my life and always will … those people will never understand that. thank you for the question !!
