hii first of all it’s okay !! i don’t blame you tbh a lot of people hated me and a lot of people joined in bc it was easier 😭 i totally understand !! as for distancing , i moved discord accounts entirely and deactivated my pinterest . for a long time i made it impossible to contact me by removing socials from my rentries , quitting retrospring and turning off frqs on my new discord account , using it to only talk to specific people . time played a big factor in this !! i know it’s really easy to let other people affect you bc nobody wants to be treated badly to be honest the hardest part is the initial distancing from those that are being horrible , but after you manage that it becomes a lot easier to focus on people that are genuinely good to you . nobody should be allowed to waste your time by being mean to you at the end of the day , and sometimes it really helps to take a step back and put that into perspective . i started focusing better on things irl as well , and when you do that it becomes easier to see online hate as something insignificant . rentrypin did leave a mark on me for sure 😭 for certain alters of mine it’s hard for them to deal with the after effects . but collectively it’s much better for me now !! i really hope you’re doing okay and that you’re able to take some of my advice to heart !! it really sucks to have to deal with harassment online

hii ! back when i was popular on rentrypin it used to really bother me , especially since im schizoaffective and dealt with a lot of paranoia . now it doesn’t bother me so much since my identity is changing again due to my DID , and i’m not a prominent figure on rentrypin anymore ^.^ it’s still quite strange but i don’t go out of my way to ask anyone to stop . i just wish people would automatically respect my boundaries and not do so in the first place tbh

hii !! essentially, what’s known as complexity or polyfragmentation is something that has only been documented in cases of DID (C-DID is a differentiator that is sometimes put on medical documentation, meaning it’s its own diagnosis). DID is a form of tertiary structural dissociation, which is seen in the higher numbers of anps and eps, as well as a heavy focus on amnesia barriers, layers, alter complexity, fragment counts and the presence of full switches. i put polyfragmented in quotation marks as it’s not a medical term! i don’t use it personally as i like to maintain a medical view of my disorder, although i won’t judge someone else for using it. as osdd is a form of secondary structural dissociation, the facets of the disorder such as only experiencing emotional amnesia in the case of ‘1b’, and having a permanent host in ‘1a’, are fundamentally different to features of complex (polyfrag) DID! as well as this, osdd in itself is the diagnosis, and medical professionals do not actually differentiate between things such as 1a and 1b. as well as this, not every case of osdd causes someone to have their parts differentiate into what’s known to be alters, as they may have been older when experiencing trauma, or their personality still integrated correctly after 9. in fact, osdd is on the same level of structural dissociation as bpd and cptsd! DID and osdd are actually fundamentally different disorders, despite similarities in that the person’s eps and anps differentiated into their own perceived personalities. i hope this makes sense! the theory of structural dissociation is a special interest of mine ^_^ osdd in itself does not necessarily mean someone will even have alters (osdd2, 3, 4), meaning that even in cases where someone does have alters (osdd1), polyfragmentation is not possible due to every iteration of osdd being secondary structural dissociation
